 THE NEW MALAKOTA ONLINE SCHOOL
 Welcome to the MaLakota Online School page! The teacher for this school is David Little Elk, a certified Lakota Language & Culture Teacher from the Cheyenne River Lakota Sioux Tribe in South Dakota, USA. The MaLakota Online School has replaced the former Little Elk Lakota School and is not associated with any accredited institutions of higher learning. This school is for self-improvement only and does not lead to any university degree. Classes will be taught via WiZiQ, which is an online education site. Therefore, to enroll in any of the classes, prospective students must first join WiZiQ as a student. WiZiQ student membership is free, and this is a one time process. Details are listed below in the ENROLLMENT section.

CLASSES
LAKOTA LANGUAGE & CULTURE CLASS
Language and culture cannot be separated from each other. Thus, this class will be touching on both subjects, as they reinforce one another. To truly speak the Lakota language, one must be respectful of the Lakota Perspective so that he/she may learn to speak the Lakota Language Through Lakota Eyes.
LAKOTA SPIRITUALITY CLASS
In this class, David will teach basic Lakota spiritual concepts for self-improvement and spiritual guidance.

- Both classes will be continuous; thus, enrollment requires only that the participant prepay before each class session.
- Students may choose to be taught either one-to-one (individually) or in a group.
- Students must have functioning headset & mic.
- It is not necessary to purchase David's books to enroll in his classes.
- Each class session will be 60 minutes long.
- The price for each session is: $30.00 USD
- Payment is made via PayPal to: info@malakota.com
- Each class session must be paid before entering the classroom.
- Participants may prepay for as many sessions as they desire.
- Participants must also join WiZiQ, as this organization is hosting the classroom. WiZiQ membership is FREE and is required to enter the classroom. Details on joining WiZiQ are listed below in the ENROLLMENT section.
- Class schedules will be posted in the NEW MaLakota Classroom and also in the students' WiZiQ profiles in the "My Classes" section.
- One-to-one class sessions will be posted only in the students' WiZiQ profile under the "My Classes" section.

WiZiQ is an online education site and they are hosting the classroom for the above-mentioned classes. Therefore, prospective students must first Join WiZiQ. WiZiQ membership is free and is a one time process.
Making a FREE WiZiQ account:
- 1. Click here at Join WiZiQ and fill in the required information, and then click the "Join Now" button.
- 2. On the next page, scroll to the bottom and press the "Skip" link.
- 3. On the next page, again scroll to the bottom of the page and press the "Skip" link. At this point, you have now completed your one time application process.
- 4. Look at at the top right corner of the page you are now on and and look for the box that states: "Search for a Teacher". In this box, type in: Lakota Language. Then press the blue "Go" button.
- 5. On the next page, click on David's photo or where it states "View Profile".
- 6. The next page will be David's Profile. Click on the link that states: "Add as Contact".
- 7. On the next page, click the blue "Send Invitation" button and you are finished!
After you have completed the above steps to join WiZiQ, David will receive your invitation and will accept you to be on his contact list. Now you will be able to enter the classroom when your class starts. Also, please send David your email address, In case of emergency or if the WiZiQ site goes down for whatever reason, so that David can contact you through regular email.

2. After David receives your payment, he will contact you whether you would like to receive your lesson in a group session or one-to-one.
3. Before your class session begins, sign into your WiZiQ account and click on the "Classes" link. The next page that appears will be titled "My Classes". If you have signed in before the class has started click on the "Upcoming Classes" tab. If you are a few minutes late, then click on the "Live Now" tab. To enter the classroom, click on the link that states "Launch Class". Please make sure your headset/mic are working properly before entering the room.
OR, you can also go to the NEW MaLakota Classroom to sign into your WiZiQ account, as well, as the classroom will also appear on there, as well.
