CANTE WASTECAKE TIOSPAYE!!
This was a Lakota language class that David taught in Switzerland in 2006. They were such a tight knit group, similar to a "tiospaye", which is a Lakota extended family system. Thus, they were named the Cante Wastecake Tiospaye, which means "Warmhearted Extended Family". David immensely enjoyed teaching them their Level I class. Below are some photos from their celebration upon completion of their Lakota Language Level One course. David continues to teach in Switzerland giving seminars on Lakota Sioux Spirituality, and it is his dream to one day teach this most wondeful Tiospaye again, someday.
This was a gift presented to David by the Cante Wastecake Tiospaye members one the final of the class. This was an unexpected surprise and David continues to cherish this gift to this day.
